I needed to use eyedrops, which turned my eyes black and the ink would spread until my eyes appeared black. But would disappear any time i blinked. My vision would be fine, but slightly dimmed when the black ink spread. But after a couple of hrs, the ink would come out along with the eye boogers(?) and appear blue like ink from a pen. It wasn't pouring out. Just gradually seeping out with the eye boogers occasionally or through the corner of my eyes a little at a time. I wasn't afraid. But, if I blinked too much, then my eyes would look irritated and red (as if I rubbed my eyes or had bad allergies) I feel like usually completely dark or black eyes is associated with something demonic, but that's not what I felt in the dream. In the dream, I hypothesized the eyedrops were meant to encourage blinking to prevent my eyes from drying out even more.
Dreams featuring physical alterations to the body, such as the transformation of your eyes in this case, often symbolize deeper emotional or psychological shifts. Let’s break down the key elements of your dream and what they may represent.
The eyedrops you used that turned your eyes black can signify a desire for change or a new perspective. Eyes are commonly associated with perception and insight, so the act of changing their color may point towards a shift in how you view a particular situation or aspect of your life. The ink representing blackness could symbolize a feeling of being overwhelmed or a time of uncertainty; however, in this dream, the black eyes didn’t instill fear, indicating acceptance of this change or uncertainty.
The fact that the black ink spread gradually and would disappear with blinking suggests that while these changes (or feelings) might seem overwhelming at first, they are indeed transient. This could reflect a sense of reassurance that your current struggles or anxieties are not permanent. The idea that the eye change was temporary highlights a cycle of renewal and potentially signifies that while you might be facing dark times, clarity will return in due course.
The seeping out of the ink, which later turned blue, could symbolize the release of pent-up feelings or thoughts. Blue often represents calmness, peace, or healing, suggesting that as you process these emotions, clarity and relief may follow. The blue ink, much like a pen, may also symbolize creativity or expression—indicating that through this process, there’s an opportunity to express yourself in new ways.
The irritation and redness occurring when you blink too much could reflect feelings of anxiety or emotional vulnerability. This part of the dream may signify that while it’s essential to address and confront your feelings, there’s a balance to maintain; over-examining or rehashing your emotions can lead to exacerbation rather than resolution.
Overall, this dream appears to reflect a complex relationship with your emotions and perceptions. It suggests that you are going through a transformation or new way of seeing the world, which may feel daunting but is ultimately necessary for growth. The comfort in the dream indicates that you are intrinsically resilient, capable of navigating these changes.
You may want to reflect on any current situations in your life that feel overwhelming or dark but may foster breakthroughs or insights. Ultimately, this dream encourages you to embrace change, express your feelings, and acknowledge that the discomfort you feel now is fluid and will transition into something clearer and more vibrant, much like the transformation of the ink.
In summary, you shouldn’t fear the blackness; rather, see it as a catalyst for a new understanding of yourself and your circumstances. Explore what “blinking” or keeping an eye on those feelings looks like in your waking life without becoming overwhelmed.
